CONGRATULATIONS TO ADVOCATE VEERJI KOLHI FOR HIS SUCCESS IN  COURT FOR THE RELEASE OF HIS BEST FRIEND VERSI KOLHI.  THE JUDGE SURPRISINGLY GRANTED BAIL ON THIS CASE THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED VERSI KOLHI TO BE SENTENCED TO DEATH ON A FALSE CHARGE OF BLASPHEMY.  ADVOCATE VEERJI KOLHI WATCHED OVER HIS BEST FRIEND EVERY DAY FROM THE TIME VERSI WAS ARRESTED WRONGFULLY TO THE TIME HE RECEIVED NOTICE THAT THE JUDGE GRANTED BAIL FOR VERSI'S.  ONE MORE COURT DATE WAS SET FOR VERSI'S RELEASE.  NOW WE CELEBRATE VERSI'S FREEDOM.  OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED WITH PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS WHO WERE MADE AWARE OF THIS CASE.    VERSI KOLHI WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU ARE HOME  MAY YOU CONTINUE TO BE BLESSED IN EVERY JOURNEY YOU TAKE AND MAY YOUR FRIENDS ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR EXPERIENCE AND LEARN FROM IT.  MAY YOU WALK IN PEACE ADORNED WITH THE PETALS OF FLOWERS.  IUFE IS VERY PROUD OF EVERYONE'S WORK  PROTESTING THIS WRONGFUL ACCUSATION, AND ESPECIALLY ADVOCATE VEERJI KOLHI FOR HIS PERSISTENCE IN PROTECTING MEMBERS OF HIS COMMUNITY FROM AGGRESSION AND RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION.

Advocate Veerji Kolhi has filed this case a result of a local Shoemaker printing the OM on shoes to be sold to the public in Pakistan.  The police allowed it to happen and they did not put a stop to this! The Governments of Pakistan and Sindh did not object!   This is a deliberate act to further cause shock and offense toward the Hindu communities  living in Pakistan, and it was even published in the Daily Ibrat, a local periodical to heighten their shock and promote more needless suffering.    It should be understood that the offense is that  this word represents the Divine.  The Supreme G-d!  The Hindu communities of Sindh have endured  the Destruction of three Holy Shrines, an armed threat to their communities over the alleged writing of the name of Allah  during the Hindu festival of Holi and false Blasephemy cases filed against Versi Kolhi and two others.  Advocate Veerji Kolhi has even endured a new false case filed against him for Kidnapping and Theft in order  for these enemies to stop any opposition for them in upcoming elections.  It is not acceptable that there is a double standard  that Muslims can be outraged at the writing of Allah's name during Holi, a very beautiful and happy celebration of Colors yet find it perfectly acceptable to write the Name of G-d for Hindus, The OM  on shoes!  Can anyone imagine the insult?  Who would place the name of G-d on shoes that His Holy name could be desecrated as people walk on dirt roads?  This is highly offensive  and extremely wrong to do to any people!   This is a threat to the Hindu Communities!  This is adding insult to injury after the breaking of Idols that are revered by Hindus of these communities and complete destruction of Temples!  What gives anyone the right to do such a heinous act?  IUFE  will make public every incident against Hindus that is done!  IUFE supports Advocate Veerji Kolhi as he strives to bring Justice to his people  for the devastating acts committed against them.

THE GOVERNMENTS OF SINDH AND PAKISTAN AND POLICE AGENCIES OF SINDH AND PAKISTAN ARE PUT ON NOTICE!  RELEASE ALL HINDUS ACCUSED IN FAKE CHARGES OF BLASPHEMY AGAINST VERSI KOLHI , ASHOK AND NESHWAR MEGHWAR AND FALSE CHARGES OF KIDNAPPING AND THEFT PLACED UPON ADVOCATE VEERJI KOLHI!  THIS HARASSMENT CANNOT CONTINUE AS IT WILL BE MADE PUBLIC IN PAKISTAN AND INTERNATIONALLY!  EVERY INCIDENT WILL BE WELL PUBLICIZED AND DOCUMENT AND FORWARDED TO INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS AGENCIES

Justice for Versi Kolhi By Advocate Veerji Kolhi and Zemira Eli Natan

Versi Kolhi is still being held in custody on a false charge of Blasphemy.  Versi and others are being held without bail  because of Landlord attempts to stop Versi from participating as a candidate in the upcoming election.  This fact was explained to Advocate Veerji Kolhi at the the time Versi was taken into custody.  It took the police 22 days to submit a Charge Sheet (Chalan) to the court. This case is clear.  The charge is false  because the Landlords have a political agenda.  Versi is innocent of this charge.  Certainly Versi would not jeopardize his position knowing what the outcome of a charge of Blasphemy involves.  Even the police knew that he was taken into custody on a fake charge.  Everyone is aware of this fact and we will continue to share this incident widely and raise protest until Versi is released from police custody.  Truth is always a victory and we shall have this victory.  IUFE stands with Versi Kolhi and his family and demands that he is released immediately!  WE WILL TAKE EVERY ACTION TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS INTERNATIONALLY TO STOP FALSE CHARGES OF BLASPHEMY FROM CONTINUING AGAINST MINORITIES.  Thank you Advocate Veerji Kolhi for your continued efforts regarding this case.  We look forward to seeing a positive outcome.

"On 17 March during the day of Holi Festival, Police Station Tando Gulam Ali arrested Versi Kolhi and others and charged them with a fake Blasphemy case. From the first day police knew very well that Versi is innocent and they did not submit a charge sheet(Chalan) to the court. From the first day Versi was confined in police custody and now he has been held in custody for 22 days. Today, police did submit a charge sheet (Chalan) to the court. Everybody knows very well that Versi is innocent and he is living 8 Km away from the place of incident....."

Political Leader Versi Kolhi was accused of Blasphemy in Sindh, a crime he has not committed.  Advocate Veerji Kolhi has organized protest to release his dear friend from this false charge.  Versi is being held in jail without Bail.  Advocate Veerji Kolhi visits Versi and ensures that Versi is brought food and water and that he is kept in good health.  Many cases have been filed  during these months of stress and assault upon the Hindu Communities in Sindh since the incident of the Larkana Temple Destruction.  We will not be silent until Versi Kolhi is released from custody and in good health.  This prosecution of Versi Kolhi is based on a desire of Landlords to keep Versi from participating as a candidate in the upcoming election.  It is a pressure move on the point of the Landlords to keep the Hindu Community from having a voice or representation for Minorities.  What are the Landlords planning that they need to prosecute an innocent person of such a serious accusation as Blasphemy?  We will be sharing these accusations widely to raise our voices against  Extremism.  It is intolerable to place any person at risk for losing his life on a false charge for wanting only to represent his people.  It does not show strength to oppress those who want to have equal representation.  The Landlords should examine their motives and rather than oppress a community that is an integral part of the society. The landlords should be willing to allow all people to have a voice for the concerns of the community.  No one is silencing the Landlords.  Perhaps it is time they learn the meaning of the same silence they inflict upon others.  IUFE stands with Advocate Veerji Kolhi to stop Extremism and oppression of Minorities.  IUFE Stands withVersi Kolhi and his family in a demand for the immediate release of Versi Kolhi!  WE WILL NOT BE SILENT!

Every day a new incident is reported in Sindh.  More Hindus are arrested for crimes they have not committed.  The authorities of the land take no action to defend them.  The International community is silent.  Human Rights Organization do not address these issues because those who are leading these organizations have alterior agendas.  Who will be the voice for the voiceless?  How will these communities rebuild their lives after this kind of devastation has happened to them?  It is morally and ethically wrong to ignore there desperate outcry for justice!  They did nothing to provoke such a violent response.  They do everything to avoid  it.  There is a time when the world can no longer be silent.  Advocate Veerji Kolhi has particpated  in many protests and has also arranged more.  It is critical that his voice is heard and the voices of his community to stop this discrimination!  This is unjustifiable oppression and action is being taken to let the world know  that it is happening!.  We will never be silent in the face of such destruction  and lack of regard for Humanity!  There is no human being that has the right to deny another human being living space!  To behave this way is an act of inhumanity  and obstruction of Justice!  Versi Kolhi, Ashok and Neshwar are still in custody on false charges of Blasphemy!  They are held without Bail!  They are not guilty!  It must be exposed very clearly that these events were were planned against the Hindu communities of Sindh.  It is not likely  that any Hindu would put their communities at risk and cause such a violent reaction themselves.  IUFE DEMANDS JUSTICE FOR THE HINDU COMMUNITIES OF SINDH!  Just think for a moment.  How will they rebuild their lives?  How will they recover and what help can they receive to free innocent victims of a terrorist minded agenda! Why is it so natural to place fear in the hearts of innocent people?  Why is peaceful dialogue and true investigation into the matter not an option?  Those who claim to be peaceful work in every way to preserve that peace!  Where is the action on the part of the government of this land to preserve that peace?  IUFE DEMANDS THE RELEASE OF ALL HINDUS FALSELY CHARGED IN RELATION TO CHARGES OF BLASPHEMY!
